Just kidding, we’re:
That being said, we wanted to make sure that each of you has all the tools to be fully prepared for the main event!
If you’re attending with a group, or have multiple tickets that are under one name–DON’T WORRY ABOUT HAVING INDIVIDUAL NAMES ON EACH TICKET. It’s actually easier to have one person’s name on the tickets, as they can pick up all of the tickets at once. If you’d like to read up on our full ticketing info (including transfer info should you plan to sell tickets to someone else), go here. Most important thing to keep in mind: there are no specific days and times for check-in for certain ticket types. Regardless of which ticket type(s)/level(s) you have, you can check in on any of the days/times listed below:

ICYMI: We’ve had some updates to our event programming; most notably, we’ve added a two-hour-long shopping session (open to everyone) from 4-6PM Friday, as well as changed the the time on the 1,001 Dark Nights Sparkler (Friday) to be from 7-8PM. Aside from that, all of the other information and times are the same!

(https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/14Q4SxefohX4xoxdH97sCQYYkdbP1rqbn?usp=sharing) * NOTE: The bookstore hours of operation are currently listed as TBA. Make sure to check that link ^ regularly, as we will update that by the week of the event.
The event hotel only offers valet parking (there is no surface/self-parking lot), however, there are alternative parking options within walking distance. For full information about what is available/recommended (including info on how to get a parking credit to use), go here. ICYMI: The March For Our Lives is happening Saturday, March 24th from 12PM-3PM in D.C. While the march itself should not affect our event (because the event hotel is on the Virginia side of D.C.), but it is important to note that if you’re planning to travel to the event on Saturday via Metro, train, or car, your travel may be impacted by traffic, detours, etc. Please plan accordingly!
As far as food and sightseeing goes: be sure to check out the files in our “Food and Travel” folder here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Nu1REgEGc0QoKdueUR1036NcQRVG9kii?usp=sharing.

It is an event that will feature a screening of the film “Never Hike Alone” which stars ApollyCon special guest, Drew Leighty! We will also play video content for Jen Armentrout’s Titan series (which is what inspired ApollyCon’s origins!).
The event is casual dress (come as you are!), and will feature theater style seating–which is first come, first serve.
THE FIRST 300 PEOPLE TO ENTER WILL GET A GOODIE BAG PROVIDED BY THE FILM PRODUCTION STUDIO!
FRIDAY EVENING from 9PM-10:30PM.
NOTE: 1,001 Dark Nights (our event sponsor) has adjusted the time in which the Sparkler Event will take place Friday evening. The Sparkler will now run from 7PM-8PM.
This event is open to TITAN, APOLLYON, and DEITY pass holders. As previously mentioned, seating will be first come, first serve.
You will NOT need a special ticket for this event if you have a Titan, Apollyon, or Deity pass. *Plan to wear your badge for entry to the event. (NOTE: The TITAN & APOLLYON pass holders will have a laminated badge (it does not have names on it) and the DEITY pass holders will have paper badges.)
**We will update attendees with info about the room location of the event (which will be in the event hotel) the week of the event.
Here’s a brief overview of what you’ll find in this post:
Authors listed as ‘ticketed author’ are author whom we anticipate to have high table-traffic/long lines for during the signing portions of ApollyCon. In order to keep the signing area from becoming congested during our Saturday signing session, we have created a ‘ticketed author’ system to help stagger the amount of people in the ticketed authors section to keep lines short (and the area clear). Note: The ticketed authors (listed below) will all be located in the same section of the event space in the signing area. (*This does not apply to author Sarah J. Maas–keep reading for special instructions.)
**The ticketed author process will not apply to the Titan signing on Friday. However, author Sarah J. Maas will be ticketed for both the Titan and Saturday signing (due to medical reasons).
*These will be the authors that will be featured in the ticketed author area
For our 2018 event, we will have a staggered time entry system into the Ticketed Author area. How this will work: every 45 minutes we will allow groups of 100 attendees (with wristbands) to enter the section where the ticketed authors will be located. Once you’re in the room, you are free to get in line for any of the ticketed authors you choose. You will also he able to leave and re-enter the ticketed author area as many times as you’d like after your group has been granted access.
The staggered entry process will be in place for the first 3 hours of the signing on Saturday; after the last group gets called to enter, the ticketed author area will be open to anyone else who may not have signed up for a wristband, etc.
12:00PM – GROUP A
12:45PM – GROUP B
1:30PM – GROUP C
2:15PM – GROUP D
3:00PM – GROUP E
3:45PM (until 5PM) – OPEN TO EVERYONE (INCLUDING THOSE WITHOUT WRISTBANDS)
***The sign-up form was previously available on 11/4/17–however, if you previously submitted the form on that day, you will need to resubmit it on 11/18/17. To read more details about this, go here: http://mailchi.mp/theoriginevent/ticketed-author-update-important-info.
*LINK TO SIGN-UP FORM (which will be open at 12PM EST 11/18): https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSerj-0EMm88A-XVXjOmA-_xWGgbrMZDdLuj6qxi6Vp6raGd8Q/viewform?usp=sf_link
WHEN YOU SIGN UP: You will need to enter your (THE TICKET PURCHASER’S) full name, email address (does not have to be the same as eventbrite; this will be the email address we will use to inform you of which group you’re in), the number of tickets you’ve purchased (so we know how many wristbands you’d need) and which ticket types you’ve purchased.
PLEASE ONLY FILL OUT THE FORM ONCE, EVEN IF YOU HAVE MULTIPLE TICKETS UNDER YOUR NAME/REGISTRATION. Your wristbands will be available for pickup at the registration area when you check-in for ApollyCon 2018, so it is important the name on the ticketed author wristband form matches the name your ticket is under. That being said, YOU WILL ONLY BE ABLE TO GET ONE WRISTBAND PER TICKET PURCHASED. Example: If you have 4 tickets for ApollyCon (regardless of which type they are), you will be entitled to no more than 4 wristbands for your timed entry group. Please be sure to fill out the form correctly–any duplicate entries will be deleted. We will assign groups in the order in which the entries have been received, and you will not be able to select the group you want (the groups will be assigned). This will be handled on a first-come, first-served system.
As you may know, author Sarah J. Maas suffers from a tendon injury in her hand, which limits the amount of books she’s able to sign at a time. This means she will only be able to sign books for 100 people on Friday (TITAN signing), and 150 people on Saturday (general signing). In order to keep things fair, we will open up two separate signing forms–one for Titan ticket holders (for Friday), and one for Saturday’s signing–and we have a lottery system (names drawn via a number randomizer) to select 100 people for Friday, and 150 people for Saturday to get tickets for her line.
*We will post the link for this form on this site, and via our ApollyCon Facebook page at 12PM ET that day.
WE WILL SEND OUT EMAILS ON JANUARY 22, 2018 TO THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN SELECTED TO HAVE TICKETS FOR SARAH’S LINE ON EITHER DAY.
Due to her limitations, here are the rules for those who obtain tickets to get in her line:
We’ll keep this short, and sweet:
(Or, copy this link: http://bit.ly/APOLLYCON2018-Eventbrite)
After you purchase your ticket, you will receive an Eventbrite confirmation email. In this email you will find pertinent event info (including the tentative schedule, location, etc), and THE TICKETED AUTHOR SELECTIONS FORM. This form will be where you can indicate which of the ‘high traffic’ authors you plan to visit while at the event. **Note: there is a separate form for Titan pass holders. If you purchase a Titan pass, and plan to attend the Saturday signing you will need to use the “Titan” Ticketed author selections form (this is for Saturday’s signing; there will not be ticketed authors during Friday’s Titan session). If you purchase other ticket types in addition to your Titan one(s), use the General form (both will be clearly labeled) for your other non-Titan tickets. You will submit one form per ticket purchased. You can fill it out on the behalf of the others in your party, or you can forward the form for them to fill out. (If the person filling out the form is not the person whose name the Eventbrite tickets are under, make sure they put the ticket/pass purchaser’s name in parenthesis after their name so we can confirm that they have a registered ticket.) **It’s okay if multiple tickets are under one person’s name; the name on a ticket is only important for pickup at on-site registration. (And one person can pick up all the tickets at the same time under their name.)
**If you purchase Titan passes, you will also have a TITAN PASS HOLDER PANEL SELECTIONS FORM (which will be included in the Eventbrite confirmation email). Fill out this form ASAP with your first choices for panels should you plan to take part in panel programming. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A CONFIRMED TITAN PASS (via Eventbrite) PRIOR TO FILLING OUT THE TITAN-SPECIFIC FORMS.
You must have an ApollyCon 2018 Eventbrite ticket in order to fill out any of the aforementioned forms. Form submissions that can not be verified/linked to an Eventbrite ticket will be deleted, so please thoroughly read the instructions on the form(s) to make sure there are no errors/misinformation.
We will be posting more information regarding the Ticketed Author Process in late summer, early fall 2017. If at any point you change your mind on which authors you want to see, you will not need to resubmit the form. We will be using a slightly different system for ticketed authors (as in, no more individual numbers), so don’t stress about changes to names (unless it is the purchaser’s name, in which case email us at email@example.com for us to change that), and don’t worry if all of the people in your party do not submit their forms at the same time. (Though, be sure you submit it within a couple of days of purchase so you won’t forget.)
